The 2025 biennial (I think that means once every other year?!?) TakeTen
Chesil Theatre New Writing Competition is open for entries.
It’s free entry for scripts by adult playwrights, lasting 10 minutes, up to four actors age 16 plus, with simple staging suitable for the intimate Chesil Theatre stage.
This year’s theme is ‘Angels’, interpreted anyway you want, and do I need to say no AI entries (sorry Grok) and the work of one human writer.
The winning plays will be performed in the Take Ten festival end of March 2026 at Chesil Theatre in Winchester.
Closing date is 1st June 2025.
